About Me

I have a creative soul.  I am passionate about life, moments, my family, and chocolate.  I need to remind myself to stop and smell the roses every now and again.  I can be impulsive.  When I decide to do something, I do not stop until I am satisfied with the results.  Oh and my mind goes a million miles a minute, so sometimes I am all over the place (hence the jumbled intro to my about me section).

I was born in the big city and raised in the country.  I like to think that I am the best mix of urban and small town that there is, but my heart will always be country.  I have always had big ambitions and plans for myself, and have never been happier in my life than I am now!  I was 13 when I got my first FILM SLR Canon Rebel.  I was so in love with taking photos and capturing memories.  In fact, had you asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up at that age, I would have told you that I wanted to be a photographer.  Fast forward to my college years at the University of North Dakota and earning both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Public Administration, working five years for municipal government, and starting my family, I made my way back to my first love.

I am a twenty-something wife of the MOST supportive man ever and mommy to the two most beautiful girls (Blake Leigh Ann and Tatum Jane).  I also have two furbabies that we love like kids–Rudy, our three-legged beagle, and Lola, our black pug.  I enjoy Sunday morning dance parties with my girls.  I am such a taco person.  Love to bake cookies for others.  I am so grateful to be doing something that I love while affording to stay home with my girls.  I am addicted to reading and books on tape.  I edit to Netflix or Hulu shows.  Miranda Lambert is always in my car CD player.  We make time to visit the local Humane Society every once in awhile to donate supplies and bring our beagle back to visit.  I can sometimes be awkward.  And random.  I love life and am so blessed.

I don’t like to think of what I do as just taking photos, I like to think that I am capturing moments.  True and (mostly) unstaged.  I want to be a part of your memories.  I truly appreciate you checking out my page and I cannot wait to work with you!
